We know that the right expertise is vital to help the village succeed.
To bring on the right legal support, to print information to reach more people and to support required actions such as website hosting we need funds.
We will share the details of the legal team when we can, but need to avoid them being caught in a 'conflict of interest' and being unable to help us.
The development will destroy the character of the village, increase traffic, reduce wildlife in publicly accessible green space and put a huge burden on the few local amenities we have. Locals already can't get a place in our local schools.
How Can I Help?
If every household could contribute a suggested £20: (the equivalent of 4 coffees and some cake/a window clean/a couple of takeaway pizzas etc) that will help us the community fight the proposed development by Hallam. Contributions will not only help pay for action, it also demonstrates the community commitment to fight against the development, and it's willingness to sacrifice now for our future benefit. Of course larger donations will help everyone.
Target Date
We ideally need to have raised sufficient funds by the end of October 2025.
So please donate as soon as you can.
Our collection pot
We have set up a collection pot using.... "Collection Pot". Rather that the 2.4% +20p per donation other providers charge the pot behind the scenes, this stie shows the 1.9% and +20p to the individual donating.
Feel free to include this as part of the "£20" or add another 59p to cover.
This platform is efficient, and allows a function to be paid directly without passing money through a personal bank account. A high level overview of spending will be posted here.
